We tried Champy’s on a Sunday after a swarm of college frat boys had descended on this place. The staff was a bit flustered at first , but then got into the groove of things and everything seemed to chug along nicely.
We ended up ordering a family plate with two sides-cole slaw and mashed potatoes. The menu war
ns you that there will be a wait because everything is cooked to order..true! When our food arrived everything was hot (chicken was almost too hot to eat..but it was just made!) The chicken was excellent and no complaints about the sides either!
In all, great place to go eat..just bring your appetite!
Tried this place a month ago and it is hands down the best fried chicken in Chattanooga. I have lived here a long time and eaten a lot of fried chicken in this town but Champy’s is a real gem. Not only is the chicken out of this world but the sides are excellent as well especially the baked beans. If you have been putting off trying this place do your self a favor and try it.
